The Tribe finishes runner up in tournament

The Tribe played a four game round robbin tournament this weekend and finished runner up in the five team pool going three wins and one loss in extra innings.

Tait Cunningham had the walk off single to score Brett Ealy from second base to win the final game.

Midland Tribe 6 - JB Yeager 0

The Tribe pitches a one hit shutout to beat the JB Yeager team at Midland Field on Saturday. James Ross pitched the first 4 innings to get the win followed by Brett Ealy that earns the save. James Ross also contributes with a home run going 2 for 3 on the day. Trevor Ealy was 2 for 2. Brady Suddendorf, Quinn Sullivan, Nathan Winning and Brett Ealy all had 1 hit a piece in the victory. Great game Tribe!

Midland Tribe 11 - Cincinnati Tomahawks 4

The Tribe started out a little slow but finally got the bats going to win the game 11-4. Matthew Crable got the start on the mound and pitched well allowing 3 runs. Grant Pittman, Keegan Riley and Tait Cunningham were all used in relief to secure the victory. James Ross hit a home run over the left field fence and was 2 for 3 on the day. Brady Suddendorf made some great defensive plays in the outfield as well as going 3 for 4. Quinn Sullivan, Brett Ealy, Nathan Winning and Jay Wilson all contributed with 2 hits. Matthew Crable was 1 for 1 with 2 walks. Nice defensive game for the Tribe as well as some timely hits. Good Game!

Midland Tribe 9 - DMG Dawgs 6

James Ross starts on the mound for the Tribe and pitches 4 innings of 1 hit ball striking out 8. Brett Ealy, Nathan Winning and Grant Pittman came in for relief. Several Tribe players had hits to contribute to the victory. Brett Ealy had a sac bunt and a sac fly to score a couple of RBI's. The Dawgs never quit scoring 6 runs in the 6th inning to make this game closer than we needed but Grant did his job and got the save.
