Cincinnati Flames 1 - Midland Tribe 0

The Tribe team's up to pitch a NO-Hitter and still lost 1-0 against a very good Flames team. The first game of pool play in the 1st annual Matt Maupin Tournament was decided on a questionable play at the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning.

James Ross pitched 4 1/3 innings of almost perfect ball striking out 11 and only walking 1 facing 14 batters. Keegan Riley and Grant Pittman were relief pitchers in the 5th and 6th inning before the call at the plate ended the night.

The Flames made 3 put outs at home plate on the evening that ended Tribe rallys.

Brady Suddendorf was 1 for 1 with a double, Trevor Ealy was 1 for 1 plus a sac bunt, Grant Pittman, Tait Cunningham and Nathan Winning were all 1 for 2. Keegan also contributed with a sacrifice bunt.

The Tribe had many opportunities to pull this one out that we let get away from us. Hats off to the Flames.
