Midland Tribe 13 - Cincinnati Patriots 3

James Ross gets the start on the mound going 3 2/3 innings striking out 8. Nathan Winning and Grant Pittman came in for relief to hold off the Patriots. James Ross and Trevor Ealy both hit home runs in the game. Brady Suddendorf, Matthew Crable, Keegan Riley, Trevor Ealy and Tait Cunningham all had 2 hits. Overall a good game played by the Tribe.

Cincinnati Stix National 13 - Midland Tribe 3

The Midland Tribe start out to a 3 run lead off of a solo Home Run from Nathan Winning and a 2 run Home Run form Tait Cunningham. Congratulations to both young men on there first home runs to clear the fence. Brett Ealy was 1 for 1 with a walk. Unfortunately that was the only runs allowed from the Stix as they hit well and put up 13 runs to win the game. Great effort for the weekend.

Midland Tribe 24 - Tealtown Vipers 6

The Midland Tribe gets the #5 seed for the championship round of the Matt Maupin Tournament on Sunday. Jay Wilson gets the start and throws 2 innings allowing 1 run with 3 strikeouts. Brady Suddendorf followed Jay with 2 strikeouts. Trevor Ealy, Quinn Sullivan and Matthew Crable close out the game in relief. Several Tribe players had multiple hits while posting 26 runs. Good game Tribe!!!

Midland Tribe 9 - Columbus Big Kats 3

Grant Pittman gets the start on the mound and goes 3 innings allowing 2 runs with no walks. Nathan Winning comes in the game in relief to get the win allowing 1 run over 3 innings pitched. Brett Ealy went 2 for 2 at the plate plus a sacrifice bunt, 8 other Tribe players had 1 hit. Keegan Riley also had a key sacrifice bunt in a game in which the Tribe played small ball to pull out the victory. Go Tribe!!!

Midland Tribe 13 - Cincinnati Patriots 10

The Tribe had a 9 run lead going into the fourth inning before the Patriots put together some rallies. Fortunately the Tribe holds on to win the game 13-10. Brett Ealy got the start and the win pitching 3 innings of 1 run ball. Keegan, Tait and Grant were all in relief. Trevor Ealy hits a double off of the right field fence and adds 3 walks for a good day at the plate. In addition Jay Wilson was 2 for 2 and Quinn Sullivan was 2 for 4. Brady Suddendorf was 1 for 1 with a double and scored 4 runs. Overall - Good Game Tribe!

Cincinnati Flames 1 - Midland Tribe 0

The Tribe team's up to pitch a NO-Hitter and still lost 1-0 against a very good Flames team. The first game of pool play in the 1st annual Matt Maupin Tournament was decided on a questionable play at the plate in the bottom of the sixth inning.

James Ross pitched 4 1/3 innings of almost perfect ball striking out 11 and only walking 1 facing 14 batters. Keegan Riley and Grant Pittman were relief pitchers in the 5th and 6th inning before the call at the plate ended the night.

The Flames made 3 put outs at home plate on the evening that ended Tribe rallys.

Brady Suddendorf was 1 for 1 with a double, Trevor Ealy was 1 for 1 plus a sac bunt, Grant Pittman, Tait Cunningham and Nathan Winning were all 1 for 2. Keegan also contributed with a sacrifice bunt.

The Tribe had many opportunities to pull this one out that we let get away from us. Hats off to the Flames.

Cincinnati West Stars 6 - Midland Tribe 3

James Ross gets the start on the mound and pitched very well. James pitched 2 2/3 innings striking out 5 and allowing 2 runs before hitting the pitch count. Grant Pitman comes in for relief to pitch 2 1/3. The Tribe goes into the fifth inning with a 3-2 lead but was unable to defend the bunt with the bases loaded and ended up allowing 4 runs to score. James Ross was 1 for 1 with 2 walks, Keegan Riley was 1 for 1 with a walk, Jay Wilson was 1 for 1 with an awesome sacrifice bunt and Brett Ealy was 1 for 2. Brady Suddendorf contributes with a sacrifice bunt as well.

Maderia Yankees 9 - Midland Tribe 2

The Maderia Yankees defeated the Tribe 9-2 on Friday. Nathan Winning got the start on the mound. Brett Ealy pitches 4 2/3 innings giving up 1 run in relief and Tait Cunningham strikes out the only batter that he faced to end the game. Brady Suddendorf was 2 for 2 and scored the only Tribe runs. Matthew Crable was 1 for 2 at the plate.

SWOL Tourney - Midland Tribe 9 Lakota Diamond Dawgs 5

The Tribe plays solid defense and gets some timely hits to win the first game of the SWOL tournament against the tough Lakota Diamond Dawgs. Brett Ealy starts the game and gets the Win. Grant Pittman comes into the game in relief and only allows 2 runs for the save. Jay Wilson was 2 for 2 with two perfect bunts at key times during the game. Quinn Sullivan was 3 for 4 at the plate, Matthew Crable and Brady Suddendorf were 2 for 3. Nathan Winning was 1 for 1. Brett Ealy and Keegan Riley were 1 for 2.

SWOL Tourney Midland Tribe 4 Kinect Nationals 1

The Tribe played great defense today against the Kinect Nationals behind starting pitcher James Ross. James got the win and had 5 strike outs in 2 2/3 innings and allowed 1 run before reaching the pitch count. Nathan Winning followed in relief pitching the final 3 1/3 innings of shutout baseball. Tait Cunningham made a spectacular diving catch at first base next to the home team dugout and Trevor Ealy made 4 defensive putouts in right field. James, Keegan, Matthew, Grant and Trevor were all 1 for 2 at the plate.

SWOL Tourney Cincy Flames 9 vs Midland Tribe 1

Quinn Sullivan gets the start and pitches 2 2/3 innings. The relief came in way of Tait Cunningham, Trevor Ealy and Matthew Crable. Nathan Winning went 2 for 2 at the plate and Trevor Ealy went 1 for 1.

SWOL Tourney - Fairfield Chiefs 6 - Midland Tribe 3

The tribe loses in the semi finals to a solid Fairfield Chiefs team. Matthew Crable pitched 4 complete innings and Keegan Riley finishes the last 2 innings in relief. Nathan Winning was 2 for 3 with a double, James Ross and Quinn Sullivan both had solid doubles as well. Brett Ealy and Trevor Ealy were both 1 for 2.
